Leaving Certificate subjects:

All students are prepared for the Leaving Certificate examinations. The schools offers the following subjects: 

English, Irish, Mathematics, French, History, Geography, Home Economics, Agricultural Science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Accounting, Business, Design & Communications Graphics, Music, Art, Construction Studies, Secretarial, Religious Education,Career Guidance and Physical Education.

The school also offers the Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP)

Students doing the LCVP will participate in the Skills at Work Programme. The Skills at work programme is provided by local businesses and our link is with University of Ulster at Magee.

Features of this link are a series of workshops, delivered by members of staff from the Uni. Of Ulster, covering topics such as:

·         CV Preparation

·         Career Investigations

·         Workplace Routines

·         Interview Techniques

 The programme also involves site visits to the University of Ulster campuses and the students can use many of these workshops and site visits as topics for their LCVP portfolio.

University of Ulster and all Universities and Institutes of Technology in the Republic of Ireland recognise the LCVP.
