There were other excellent performances during the year. At the Donegal Schools’ Track and field champions held at the Finn Valley Centre in May, Jodie Stewart,

 Karen Ferguson and Rebecca Brennan all own their events Karen Ferguson, Jodie Stewart and Ian Ward all qualified for the Ulster Schools’ finals. Jodie Stewart came third in the Ulster Schools Multi-Events in September.

 Rebecca Ward won the Donegal Schools Cross Country held in Buncranna. In January, the Royal Schools Cross Country was held at Portoro in Enniskillen. Rebecca Ward, Karen Ferguson and Ian Ward all won their races.

Jan Schneider, Lee Boyd, Laura Schneider and Christopher Smyth also performed well. Karen Ferguson, Ian Ward and Rebecca Ward all qualified for the Ulster Schools’ Cross Country finals in Mallusk. Rebecca Ward finished second in a very close finish.

Ian Ward has had yet another very successful and busy year. Ian won the Ulster Schools’ Senior Boys 1500m title in May.

At the All-Ireland Schools’ Track and Field Championships in Tullamore Ian finished third in the 1500m. In July Ian represented Ireland at the Youth Olympics in Belgrade, where he qualified for the 1500m final

 In February, Ian added another Ulster Schools’ title to his collection. He won the Senior Boys Cross Country title.
