 Girls’ Badminton

 The Minor Girls – Danielle Stewart, Kim Magee, Rebecca Ward, Sarah Patterson, (Subs) Jennifer Kee and Nissa Henderson – have done really well, beating all of their opponents in great style.

Minor League – 4-2 win against Ballyclare High School

5-1 win against Wallace High School

Minor Cup – 5-1 win over Sullivan Upper. (Now through to the quarter-finals.)

Boys’ Badminton

Four teams have been entered this year and a few matches have been played to date.  The Junior Boys

have played Ballyclare High and Sullivan Upper and won 5-1 and 6-0 respectively.

Minor Boys beat Ballyclare 6-0 and were narrowly beaten by Sullivan Upper 3-3 sets, and lost 7-6 in games, which put them out of the Cup.

Junior Girls have had two very convincing wins, beating Sullivan Upper 6-0 and beating Ballyclare 6-0

The Minor Girls beat Ballyclare 4-2 and played Sullivan Upper in the Cup and won 5-1.

A very good start to the badminton season and we wish all teams continued success.

Boys’ Badminton

The Senior Boys Badminton season is now over.  They finished third in their league.  They were beaten by a very strong Friends High School, Lisburn side – who went on to win the Ulster Schools’ Cup League. Joshua Magee is on this team, he has enjoyed a good measure of success at county & All-Ireland level.

The Minor Boys also finished third in their Division 1 section, and lost to Sullivan Upper in the Cup.
